 When does it make sense to add a personal touch to a post, and when does it not?

I think that it makes sense to add a personal touch to a post when you explain why you are posting what you are posting about. I think it makes sense when you are trying to reach someone from the heart and show them that you care about what you do as you connect with them on a personal level. I notice that most people like realness, people like the raw and the unseen, or behind the scenes footage. On Instagram, some of my most commented photos and videos have been on ones that are from the heart. I show why I am passionate about what I do. One video, I started crying, and I got the most love I ever have on that video. I had several messages in my inbox of people thanking me for posting things that other people hold back from. I have motivated and inspired many people by just being myself and by teaching others that its ok to be where you are in life. 

On the other hand, when I post workouts or that I have a special going on, I don't get too personal on those. When it comes to money or when it comes to trying to get clientele, it is important that you are firm and that you show that you know what you are doing. People want to see results, and on those posts, that is what I show. I still connect with them on a personal level, yet, in a different way. I still show personality and a connection, but I also show that I know what I am doing. It is more instructional. With these posts, I will connect by being a little more "pushy" then more sympathetic. 

I never think you can go wrong with adding personal touch to a post. I like to sympathize with people and I also like to show people I mean business. A lot of times, people will sign with you because they like who you are as a person. I never once have wanted to sign with someone who's attitude I didn't like or who I thought was being really fake about their posts. That is just me, and I like connecting personally and I like to see that there are good people in the world. Personality is always something that drives me closer to a person and a product.
